The short version
- Redline Athlete plans rides and races from models and public data. Its numbers are estimates, not
promises, and not medical advice. Riding and racing are dangerous: you decide how hard to go, and you ride
at your own risk.
- Your routes, rides and files stay yours. We use them to run the app for you, as the
privacy policy explains.
- The free plan is free. Pro is $9 a month or $59 a year, renews until you cancel, and stays on to the
end of the period you paid for. Every new account gets 30 days of Pro, once, with no card.
- Services you connect, like Strava and Wahoo, have their own terms, and we are not them.
- Minnesota law applies, and you can always take a claim to small claims court.
This summary is here to help you find your way. The sections below are the agreement.

1. These terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Redline Athlete LLC, a Minnesota limited
liability company ("Redline Athlete", "we", "us"). They cover redlineathlete.com, the Redline Athlete app, and
everything it produces for you: plans, charts, exports, training files and emails (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, including as a guest, you agree to these Terms and
to our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the
Service.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 13 or older.
- If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these
Terms for you. They are responsible for your use of the Service, including any payment.
- One person per account. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at
mike@redlineathlete.com if you think someone else has used your
account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
- Give us accurate information. The weight, FTP and other numbers you enter drive every estimate the
Service makes, so its estimates are only as good as those numbers.
3. Estimates, not advice
Everything Redline Athlete tells you is worked out by models from the numbers you give it and from public
data: maps, trail surfaces, soil, elevation and weather. That includes finish times, pacing, power, fatigue,
fueling and calorie figures, the verdict on a plan, progression and goal readings, markers, training files,
and anything written by the AI features. Models and public data are sometimes wrong, so all of these are
estimates. We do not promise that any of them is accurate, complete or right for you.
- Not medical advice. Redline Athlete is not a doctor, a dietitian, or a coach who knows
you. Talk to a doctor before you start a new training program or change how you eat and drink on the bike,
especially if you have a heart, blood sugar, blood pressure or other condition. Stop and get help if you feel
unwell.
- Fueling and hydration figures are general estimates. Try a fueling plan in training
before you race it, and put your own needs, the conditions, and medical advice ahead of the app.
- AI-written text, such as the AI summary of a plan or the AI ride for today, comes from a
language model working from your figures. It can be wrong or miss something. Read it as a second opinion,
not an instruction.
- Routes, courses and markers can be out of date or wrong: trails close, courses change,
land is private, and maps have mistakes. Check the organizer's official course, rules and closures, and
follow trail, land and traffic rules.
- Training files and indoor workouts set targets in watts from your FTP. Set up your trainer
as its maker says, ease off or stop if a target is too hard, and do not ride a workout you are not fit
for.
4. Your riding, your risk
Mountain biking, gravel and cyclocross racing, and hard training carry a real risk of injury and death, from
crashes, terrain, weather, traffic, equipment, and your own body. You choose where, when and how hard you ride,
and whether to follow any plan, and you take on those risks yourself. Do not use the app, or a head unit showing
its files, in a way that takes your attention off the trail or the road.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Redline Athlete is not responsible for injury, illness, loss or damage
that comes from riding, racing, training or fueling, whether or not you followed a plan from the Service.
5. Free, Pro and the trial
- The free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing page.
- Pro costs $9 a month or $59 a year, plus any tax, at the price shown when you subscribe. Payments are made
through Stripe, under Stripe's terms. We never see or store your card number.
- Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and your card is charged each time, until you
cancel. Cancel at any time from the billing page in the app. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have
paid for, then drop back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted.
- Every new account gets 30 days of Pro, once, with no card. It ends by itself and is never charged. One
trial per person: making extra accounts for more trials is not allowed.
- Refunds. We do not refund part of a month or year. If something went wrong, write to
mike@redlineathlete.com and we will look at it case by case. If
we refund a payment in full, the Pro it paid for ends when the refund is made. Nothing here takes away a
refund the law gives you.
- If Pro's price changes, we will email you before it applies to you, and the new price starts at your next
renewal. You can cancel before then.
- What each plan includes can change as the app changes. If we stop offering Pro, or shut the Service down,
we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
6. Your content
Your content is what you put into the Service: route and ride files, the routes you build, your athlete
profile, your plans, notes, fuel points and markers, and the messages you send us.
- It stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.
- You allow us to store, copy, process and display it, and to send it where you ask, such as to a service you
connect, only to run the Service for you and as the Privacy Policy describes. That
permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies the Privacy Policy says we
keep for a time, or that the law requires.
- Only upload what you have the right to use. A course file from an event organizer, for example, is for
your own planning.
- You can delete your content in the app, or your whole account (see Delete your
data).
- Feedback and ideas you send us are welcome, and we may use them without owing you anything.
7. Fair use
When you use the Service, do not:
- break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
- get into someone else's account, or into parts of the Service that are not meant for you;
- scrape, crawl or pull data out of the Service in bulk, or use it to build a competing product or
dataset;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, its models or its pages, except as the law allows;
- get around Pro, the free plan's limits, the trial, or rate limits, or make extra accounts to do so;
- upload malware, overload the Service, or interfere with how it runs;
- misuse the contact form, or send spam through it.
We may remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close accounts that break them.
8. Connected services
Redline Athlete works with services run by other companies: Strava, to bring in your activities; Wahoo, to
send training rides to your Wahoo account; Google and Facebook, to sign in; Stripe, for payments; and the map,
weather and soil services listed in the Privacy Policy. Files you export can be used
with Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, Zwift, TrainerRoad and other apps and devices.
- When you connect a service, you allow us to exchange data with it for you, within the permissions you grant
it and as the Privacy Policy describes. You can disconnect at any time, in the app or in that service's own
settings.
- Your use of each service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control those services,
and they can change or stop what they offer, which can stop a feature of ours from working.
- A ride you send to Wahoo becomes part of your Wahoo account. Wahoo holds it under its own terms and privacy
policy, which allow Wahoo to use it.
- We do not promise that an exported file or a sent ride will work on every device or app.
- Third-party services are provided as is. These services, and the data they provide, reach
you through the Service as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim, on behalf of every
third-party service provider, all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and no third-party service provider
is liable to you for any consequential, special, punitive or indirect damages.
- Redline Athlete is independent. It is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Strava, Wahoo, Garmin, Hammerhead,
Zwift, TrainerRoad, Google, Meta or Stripe, or by any race or event organizer, unless we say so. Their names
and marks belong to their owners.
9. The Service is ours
The Service, including the app, its models and methods, its design, and the race pages and other content we
publish, belongs to Redline Athlete LLC and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable
permission to use it for your own riding, under these Terms. We can withdraw that permission as section 10
describes.
We keep working on the Service, so features can change, move between plans, or be removed, and the Service
may sometimes be unavailable.
10. Leaving, and being asked to leave
- You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account as described on
Delete your data. Cancel Pro first if you do not want it to renew.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the
Service or other riders. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first.
- The parts of these Terms that by their nature should last after an account is closed, including sections
3, 4 and 11 to 16, still apply.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no
warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error
free or secure.
12. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for
lost profits, revenue, data or race results, arising from the Service or these Terms;
- our total liability for all claims about the Service or these Terms is no more than the greater of what you
paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits
liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
13. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded, your breach of these Terms, or your
misuse of the Service, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees, to the
extent the law allows.
14. If we disagree
- Talk to us first. Write to mike@redlineathlete.com and give us
30 days to try to put it right.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota and applicable United States federal law,
without regard to conflict of law rules.
- Either of us can take an individual claim to small claims court if it qualifies there. Otherwise, claims
go to the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you and we agree to those courts'
jurisdiction.
- If you live somewhere whose consumer laws give you rights these Terms cannot take away, including the right
to bring a claim in your own courts, you keep them.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to your rights, we
will email you before it takes effect. Using the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the new
Terms. If you do not, stop using the Service and cancel Pro.
16. The fine print
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce part of these Terms straight away, we have not given up the right to.
- You cannot transfer these Terms to anyone else. We can transfer them to a business that takes over the
Service, and they keep protecting you.
- We send notices to the email address on your account.
