Privacy policy
What Redline Athlete collects, why, who helps us run it, and how to get your data out or deleted. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are
Redline Athlete is a mountain bike and gravel ride planner run by Redline Athlete LLC in the United States. "We" and "us" on this page mean Redline Athlete LLC. Questions about anything here go to mike@redlineathlete.com.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google or Facebook. When you sign in with Facebook we ask for your name, profile picture and email address, and nothing else. We never see your Google or Facebook password.
Your athlete profile
What you enter so the model can plan for you: body weight, FTP, heart rates and zones, the bikes you add, and your settings and preferences.
Your routes and rides
The route and ride files you upload (GPX, FIT, TCX), the routes you build, and the plans, fuel points and markers you make. These can include GPS tracks, times, speed, heart rate and power. If you connect Strava, the activities you choose to bring in, with the same kinds of data.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive whether you are subscribed and until when. We never receive or store your card number.
How the site is used
Google Analytics and Google Ads measure visits, which pages were read, and whether a visit led to a sign up. They use cookies to do it.
How we use it
- To build your plans, charts and progression: the whole point of the app.
- To keep your account, profile and saved routes working across devices.
- To send account emails: a welcome, and notes about your trial and plan. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to fix what breaks.
- To understand, in aggregate, which parts of the site are used, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Your rides and profile are not shown to other riders.
Who helps us run it
These services process data for us, only for the purpose listed.

Strava
If you connect Strava, we use your Strava activities only to show them to you inside Redline Athlete and to plan with them. We do not share them with anyone else. You can disconnect Strava at any time in My Rides, or from your Strava settings; activities you already brought in stay in your account until you delete them or your account.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, routes, rides and plans within 30 days. Records we are required to keep by law, such as payment records, are kept only as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- See or correct it. Everything you entered is visible and editable in the app.
- Get a copy. Write to mike@redlineathlete.com and we will send you your data.
- Delete it. See Delete your data.
- Stop the emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any of them.
- Disconnect a sign in. Remove Redline Athlete from your Google or Facebook account's connected apps.
- Cookies. Your browser can block or clear them; the app still works without analytics cookies.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with Google Firebase. Access rules let each account read and write only its own data. No system is perfectly secure, and if something ever goes wrong with your data, we will tell you.
Children
Redline Athlete is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has made an account, write to mike@redlineathlete.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that matters to how your data is used will also be sent to you by email.
